This is referred to as a Concentrated Animal Feeding Operation or “CAFO”. We are proud to say that our animals are among the 10% of animals raised on pasture for the full duration of their life at Back to Basics Ranch.

    Over 90% of America’s farmland is farmed via industrial farming methods that include the mass use of chemical fertilizers, herbicides, and pesticides. Our regenerative approach to farming works with the environment as well as the animals. We build soil fertility through the practice of rotational and multi-species grazing, leaving the land better off than when we started.
